WHAT IS PSYCHODRAMA? "DOUBLING"
This seems
like it would be prone to misuse and abuse. This is a
psychodrama tool and if not used responsibly poses serious
dangers to the mental well-being of those experiencing it.
Add to this that the kids are already coerced into being
there and forced to stay/participate even if harmful. It is
reported to re-traumatize trauma victims if not done by
highly-trained professionals.
There
is a report in process of being made available online
regarding a natural resistance
to Doubling/Psychodrama in adults. This is available at:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20562758.
Fritz
Perls is known for developing the modern psycho-drama
models. There is a lot of questions regarding his behavior
and practices. See:
http://www.gestalttheory.net/archive/hjw1984.html
This article states that Gestalt
Therapy has developed into an irrational movement of
salvation. This again suggests a more cult-like regimen.
Again, it all relates back to the "human potential
movement", widely described as a network of cults.
Again, many
of these theories/tools in use at Visions are still experimental
and many have been found to be unethical and/or harmful by
legitimate researchers.
Empty
Chair Work
(For problems with Gestalt/Psychodramatic practices and
harms that can and do result, see:
http://primal-page.com/cathar.htm .)
Sociometry--This is vague and again doesn't really tell us what
Visions is
doing. It insinuates practicing known, even if not widely
accepted theories, but, includes very indefinite language.
