Subject:BETHEL BAPTIST - LUCEDALE, MS LOOKING 4 SURVIVORS
Was a victim of the ungodly abuse of Bro. Fountain and Bro. Owens from April 21, 1986 until Feb 16, 1987. I believe that there should be something done to pull the other torture victims together to make a class action suit. I know of at least 3 ladies that were raped by Brother Fountain (I use the word brother loosely). Forced marraiges, beatings, food shoved down throats (literally), locked in pitch black closets forced to listen to religious propaganda for up to a week. Limited toiletries. On one occasion we ran out of food and were forced to eat watermelon for a week - 3 meals a day. We were forced to work in the Mississippi heat with no sunscreen, shade and little water. Exercising until you dropped was a common occurance. I can still remember 85 % of the multitude of CHAPTERS we were forced to memorize and recite at least 3 times a day minimum. I still today, as a mother of 4 and 36 years of age, have vivid nightmares of Bethel. My children have, on several occasions, woke me up from my sleep to tell me that I was pleading and weeping in my sleep. When I awoke they inquired as to what my dream had been about and the answer is always the same - Bethel. Anyone who was there and cares to share advice and tears, please contact me via email and I will diclose my #. God bless us - we earned it. Much compassion, understanding, and love- JM

I would like to be contacted by anyone who has information on any legal action against this program or reports of abuse. I would be happy to share my personal experience with this place. Legislation to protect the kids and parents who are duped by these organizations can't happen soon enough.

Subject:Oak Creek Ranch School in AZ.
Hello, I am wondering if there is anyone who has a child or who themselves attended Oak Creek Ranch school in Arizona and what your experiences were there? I have a 14 yr old "adoptive" son (he has become part of our family but is not blood related and his grandpa has guardianship) who may be sent there and I'm finding just tidbits of info that look like it is an abusive place! Can anyone give me some first or secondhand info on this place so that I can try to protect this kiddo from being fed to the lions there! Thank you so much!!!!

Subject:Monarch school
Does anyone have information on the Monarch School in Heron Montana or are a survivor of the Monarch School? I was kicked out of the center and was sent to another in Utah called Gateway Academy. While in Utah, I felt an extreme sense of 'Homesickness' for the awful place and it wasn't until I was finally home for a few months that I began discovering the evils of that place. The homesickness being a very interesting side-effect considering 9 out of the 15 months I was there I absolutely hated the place and was "out of agreement" or lying about following all of the rules. After about 9 months, everything I had done came out and my stay was extended from 18 to 26 months. It was around this time they laid it on hard, 3 to 4 staff along with multiple students screaming at me about how much I was messing up my life and all of this was a result of my own irresponsibility and lack of care for myself. After about 3 solid months of this I became a completely lifeless being, mindlessly following senseless rules like not talking about music that wasn't approved and not making eye contact with people I was on 'bans' from (not allowed communication) to "prepare me for the real world" and to live a life of Integrity. Though the evils of the second program were blatant. As far as the Monarch school goes, it came from the cult Synanon in from the late 1950's. After Synanon began to disintegrate, Mel Wasserman, a higher-up in the Synanon cult started the school CEDU, and acronym for Charles E. Dederich University, Charles E. Dederich being the Cult leader of Synanon. CEDU was closed due to lawsuits, from there hundreds of schools branched off of CEDU. One of which was RMA or Rocky Mountain Academy, run by Dan Earle, a former CEDU Student. Like many "emotional growth" schools, RMA eventually closed. His son however, Tim Earle and another student from CEDU and RMA, Patrick McKenna started the Monarch School in Heron, Montana. Pretty intense. The thing with these Synanon-like schools is that they were originally just a pyramid marketing scheme, bring in troubled youth, putting them through intense emotional growth/brainwashing sessions and breaking them down and turning out some really "perfect" children, happy to do what is right and give back to society. Now a bunch of mush-minded past students are running the schools with clean intentions thinking this is the meaning of life. The people at the very top understand how great of a money maker this is for them but the staff and even the headmaster at Monarch work insanely bad hours for very low pay, thus destroying home life and making the school their first priority. The staff are forced to go through the same brainwashing workshops that the students are and taken through exercises like telling their deepest, darkest secrets, guided mind imagery and attack therapy. These places are not only a harmful environment for student but staff as well. Many of the staff are burned out ex/current hard drug users or the type of new age pseudo bohemian nu-hippies that are so susceptible to these brainwashing techniques just like the followers of Synanon.
