HEAL New England currently focuses on state and provincial-specific issues (including: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, P.E.I, Quebec,  ((Massachusetts, which is our home-base for the chapter)) Rhode island and Connecticut) regarding DCF, Private institutions, the board of licensure in the United states northeast, ednet, and the department of education in eastern Canada.

We are currently involved in the DCF, state of Connecticut against Jane Doe case, A transgender teen imprisoned in abusive DCF facilities with no charge against her.
