(Farmer Christian Academy, like many other programs in this industry, keeps a "tight lid" on any specific information regarding their staff, qualifications, and practices.  Please contact us with the names of any staff of which you have firsthand knowledge or experience.  Thank you for your help.)
C & M Ministries is similar to ABM Ministries as both are involved with the Independent Baptist Churches.  We are in the process of reviewing the enrollment materials for C & M Ministries/Farmer Christian Academy.  In the meantime, you may find it useful to compare the C & M/Farmer agreement to the ABM Ministries contract review.
"[Jimmie] Clark explained that he is the founder and president of the Farmer Christian Academy. Clark said William Joseph McNamara, Wiley B. Cameron, Sr., and Ben Wesley Mayo are the directors. Clark said the purpose of the project is to provide a boarding academy for girls at the Old Farmer School. Clark said the Christian academy will care for abused, abandoned, neglected, and medically needy children and troubled teenagers. Clark said there are four progressive areas that produce results in the students at Farmer Christian Academy: spiritual, educational, physical, and emotional. Clark discussed the academy that they operate in Florida and its success. Clark provided several pictures of the Florida academy. Clark described the site plan of this proposed academy." http://www.co.randolph.nc.us/meetings_agendas/planning_board/minutes/pb_minutes_040803.pdf
It looks like New Beginnings in FL. that was closed has moved to Farmer NC.  http://www.tampabay.com/faccca/group-homes/new-beginnings-girls-academy
Farmer Christian Academy claims a total of 2 staff in all public records and a total of 9 "students" living at their "boarding school".  Source: http://www.ncdnpe.org/documents/14-15-CS-Directory.pdf   Farmer Christian Academy is not considered a "Conventional Private School" and therefore is registered without being held accountable for academic and child care standards.  There is absolutely no regulation of this program by any proper authority which puts the kids in harm's way due to lack of any viable oversight.  Source: http://www.ncdnpe.org/hhh104.aspx.  Farmer Christian Academy is not a licensed mental health facility/provider.  Source: http://www2.ncdhhs.gov/dhsr/data/mhllist.pdf.  Other programs that advertise similar behavioral health services are licensed in NC.  Even the ones on our watch-list, with the exception of Farmer and one other facility.  Clark claims donations are tax-deductible here: http://www.jimmieclark.com/index.asp?page=7.  This program averages a total income of approximately $500-600,000 per year.  Source: http://www.guidestar.org/organizations/61-1466945/c-m-ministries.aspx.  In our opinion, split that between the two people who are the sole employees and proprietors and are themselves married to each other, and what you have is a giant scam that defrauds families while robbing children of their youth and a proper education that will prepare them for a productive and successful life.

UPDATE: On February 12th, 2020 HEAL Mission volunteers seeking to contact the academy found it to be closed.  The phone number is disconnected.  If you believe this program is still open, please e-mail [email protected] with the info.  Thank you.
