From T.: well if u want the whole story.... crossraods was "pastor gary"s
first From J. (Mother of boy who attended Crossroads):
MY SON WAS IN A PROGRAM IN ROSELAND LOUISIANA CALLED CROSSROADS YOUTH
RANCH. RUN BY "PASTOR" GARY
THIS PLACE CLAIMS TO BE A WONDERFUL CHRISTIAN BASED FACILITY THAT HAS SUCH A GOOD RATE OF RCOVERY,, LOOK AT THE WEBSITE crossroadsyouthranch.com THEY POSE THEMSELVES AS CHRISTIANS AND BEHIND YOU THEY CURSE THESE BOY SOUT CALLING THEM EVERY DIRTY NAME ,, THEY HAVE THEM WORKING LIKE SLAVES ,, ITS ALL A HUGE LIE. MY SON IS WORSE NOW THAN HE WAS TO BEGIN. THE "RANCH" CONSISTS OF A BUNKHOUSE, A KITCHEN, DINING ROOM/RECREATION ROOM, AND AN OFFICE / SCHOOL HOUSE.. I HAVE ALREADY REPORTED THEM TO THE COURT TO INVESTIGATE ,,, THE WEB SITE SHOWS THIS WONDERFUL PLACE WITH ALL KINDS OF ACTIVITIES ,, GO THERE AND SEE FOR YOURSELF.,, ITS A LIE,, PLEASE HELP PREVENT OTHER BOYS FROM GOING THROUGH WHAT MY SON DID. From V.M. (Mother of boy who attended Crossroads):
My son was at crossroads for 14 months and came home 10x's worse off
then if we had never sent him. The boys are allowed to go on weekend
passes where they smuggle in cocaine and other harsh drugs. My son
was one who was just sent for behavioral problems came home with
multiple problems among drug abuse. "Pastor" Gary hits, allows
fighting and curses all the time. When boys are abused and say they
are going to tell their fathers on him. He says to the boys "bring
your father down here and I will kick his ass too". God is on my
side. Boys are subjected to hours of physical labor in which the
camp benefits from monetarily. Pastor Gary and his wife go on
extensive vacations to the Bahamas and other expensive trips on OUR
money. Leaving the boys with minimal supervision. I will do anything
in my power to urge every parent NOT to send their son there!

NO OTHER NAMES | NO OTHER TITLES | Please contact us to report additional staff.* |
*(Crossroads Youth Ranch, like many other programs in this industry, keeps a "tight lid" on any specific information regarding their staff, qualifications, and practices. Please contact us with the names of any staff of which you have firsthand knowledge or experience. Thank you for your help.)
Crossroads Youth Ranch appears to be closed. HEAL representatives telephoned the program and it goes to a private voice-mail for a woman with no mention of Crossroads in the outgoing message. In addition, Crossroads website appears to have been disabled and/or no longer operational. If we are mistaken, and Crossroads is still open, please let us know.
In January, 2015, HEAL volunteers ran a new search on this program. The website is still gone. And, the phone number goes to a generic voice-mail that lists only the number with no other identifying information. It did appear on GuideStar that this program filed tax forms in 2013. However, it appears on their tax forms that the number is different from the one listed in their ads. The number now shows as 504-416-2407. This number appears to be Gary Martinez's cell phone and the outgoing message does not reference Crossroads Youth Ranch. |
